LWV Luncheon "Do Special Interests Now Own Our Elections?"

Speakers:
Ric Bainter, legal advisor and consultant on projects that promote democratic governance. He was the founding director of the New Politics program at the National Civic League and has worked extensively in Bosnia. He is currently on the National Common Cause Board.
Trent Lange, served on the board of the California Clean Money Campaign since 2003. He also currently serves as Chair of Californians for Fair Elections, the ballot committee that is leading the campaign for the California Fair Elections Act on the June 2010 ballot. He has been a spokesperson, lobbyist, and policy expert for the campaign, analyzing campaign spending and proposing solutions to public financing legislative issues both for California and elsewhere.
Simon Mayeski, Is a software developer at L-3 Communications. He has served as a watchdog on the San Diego Ethics Commission for CA Common Cause and has been a political activist, researcher and is also on the board of California Common Cause.
