WasteFreeSD is a zero waste data base that strives to empower local community members to adopt a zero waste life style by providing answers to common disposal problems.  I Love A Clean San Diego maintains information on over 1,700 centers to help residents and businesses find hassle free solutions.  

The WasteFree SD website helps you to find where you can recycle, repair, donate or properly dispose of an item. Using the interactive drop down menu, you are able to select an item and determine whether it is to be recycled/disposed of, repaired or donated. 

Choosing your zip code or community displays a map of locations that your unwanted item can be taken to.  There is also an extensive list of WasteFree events and resources, including city wide recycling events, residential cleanup events, hazardous and e-waste collection events, zero waste workshops, tips for plastic free living, recycling guidance, thrift shop tips, bulk buying basics, ideas for meatless meals, vermicomposting eduction, as well as recipes for DIY hand sanitizers, peanut butter, and body scrubs.
