There have been two important changes to our Interest Group for this year. (1) Monica Munoz and Jeanne Brown are now the co-chairs and (2) we will be meeting on the second Monday of the month at 9 am. We didn’t have our regular interest group meeting on Zoom in July but instead we met in person to plan goals for the upcoming year. We met at Fredericka Manor in Chula Vista, thanks to Monica, got to know each other better, along with sharing suggestions for speakers for upcoming meetings. We also shared responsibilities for the work we need to do to accomplish our goals.
Our August meeting will be on August 10th at 9 am. Please mark your calendars. Our speaker will be Dante Dauz, County of San Diego Program Manager of Alternatives to Incarceration. We are always looking for more members to help us achieve our overall goal “to gain a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the Criminal Justice System of San Diego County and advocate for best practices.”
