The Sierra Club and LWVSD says No on Prop. 45

Proposition 45 is on the ballot in San Diego County, November 3. This initiative would amend the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the Permit Streamlining Act (PSA) by shortening the review process for a defined set of essential projects, including housing, water systems, clean energy, public safety infrastructure, broadband, education, and transportation.
The Sierra Club opposes Proposition 45. The Sierra Club is the most influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States. Their mission is to defend everyone’s right to a healthy world. The Sierra club says that Proposition 45 would weaken environmental protections by dismantling important oversight under the guise of streamlining development.
